Josa and Tuixent
Josa and Tuixent is a municipality in the Alt Urgell region, located on the southernmost slope of the Cadí mountain range. They are formed by Tuixent, as the main town and Josa de Cadí, as a decentralized entity. Known for its Tuixent – la Vansa Nordic ski resort is an ideal place for a family getaway.
Within its municipal district, it also stands out a characteristic and a very important element of this area: If you visit the town you can not miss the Museum of Trementinaires. The women who in the nineteenth century devoted themselves to look for herbal remedies that were used at that time as medicinal remedies and who traveled throughout Catalonia selling their remedies and ointments.
